Survey: Working Men & Women Want Male Bosses:

The New York Post [1] recently spotlighted a WorkPlace Media [2] poll which found that 76 percent of respondents preferred a male boss. Why? Aside from the old stereotype that a female boss is most likely, to quote the story, "a bitch," Post reporter Mackenzie Dawson wrote: "Dealing with the perception that motherhood is inevitably going to dull a woman’s drive is a sad reality of professional life . . . Employees want to feel protected by a manager that’s looking out for their best interests – and if a woman is trying to juggle her job with her family, there might be a perception that she won’t concentrate on her team."
