Report: U.S. Lags in Family-Friendly Workplace Policies

A new study by Harvard and McGill University researchers concluded that the United States doesn't provide nearly the same number and quality of family-friendly workplace policies as do other nations, USA Today [1] reported. After surveying 173 countries, the study's [2] authors found that the United States is one of five without mandatory paid maternity leave. The United States also does not mandate paid leave for fathers (65 countries do so) nor does it afford breastfeeding workers codified work place rights (as 107 countries do).
