Working Moms' Time with Kids Increasing

The Washington Post [1] this week eased the minds of working mothers everywhere with a story saying that even with women spending more time working than they did in the 1960s, they're also devoting more time to their children than at-home mothers did 40 years ago, according to a new University of Maryland study. In 1965, for example, at-home mothers spent an average of 10.2 hours week "tending primarily to their children," the Post said, while today's working moms spend 14.1 hours with their kids.
