Imperfect Working Motherhood

Former "Early Show" anchor, mom of two and author of "Good Enough Mother: The Perfectly Imperfect Book of Parenting" Rene Syler, spoke with the Houston Chronicle [1] about letting go of the notion of perfect parenting and embracing messy reality. When asked what things make her say, "I don’t care," Syler said: "Usually, ‘I don’t care’ comes about when I am racing into school for some reason and there will be some of the dreaded supermoms boring a hole in the back of my head because I’m late. That is when I suit up with my ‘I don’t care’ armor." (April 2007)
