Gestating in the Halls of Congress

A Washington congresswoman is set to be the fifth federal lawmaker to give birth while in office, according to press reports [1]. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, who is due to deliver her first child in late May, found out she was pregnant while running for re-election last summer. "Being pregnant and being in Congress is like being pregnant and working any other job, it’s just a more public pregnancy," former New York congresswoman Susan Molinari, who gave birth to her daughter while in office told the Associated Press.
