National Resources Protection Gets Michelle's Nod of Approval.

In the next stop on her tour of various government departments, the Associated Press [1] reports that Michelle Obama visited the Interior Department on Monday, praising the agency's employees, saying they would be critical to the new administration's priorities. She also hailed their work in natural resources protection, saying it was important for family activities such as hiking and camping.

Ms. Obama told those working with Native Americans that her husband will soon appoint a White House policy advisor dedicated to tribal issues. Department officials presented her with a traditional Native American shawl, recognition for a woman of high achievement. The Black Bear singers also performed a song in her honor.
