The Obamas have chosen celebrity designer Michael Smith to refurbish the White House private quarters and Oval Office. While Smith is known to work with much larger budgets, he’s going to have to work his magic with a strict budget of $100,000, allocated by Congress. Transition aides say the Obama’s chief concern will be ensuring that their daughters Malia and Sasha, feel comfortable in their new home.
