Mrs. Robinson Goes to Washington.
Marian Robinson, the country's unofficial First Granny, is on her way to Washington to help the family settle into a routine, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Robinson, Michelle Obama's mother, is on her way to becoming a role-model for other seniors moving into their children's homes, yet maintaing their own active lives. Robinson has taken an active role in her granddaughters' lives.
"It's such a nice example of so many generations working together to raise a family," said Donna Butts, Generations United's executive director, as interviewed in the Tribune. "We believe the Obamas will show Americans the valuable role each generation can play."
