Tweeting from the ER or Death's Door.

Twitter has so permeated our daily lives that it has become almost natural to receive bad news through this very public forum. No more are tweets only about what we eat, but also the bad news the doctor gives us, or a sudden horrific experience that we happen to be going through right this instant.

 

This real-time virtual hand-holding might be comforting to the Twitter-er. But with all this exposure to bad news, will we become less sensitive?
