Panelists: YOU Need to Create Your Life’s Balance.

Panelists speaking at the South By Southwest Interactive conference recently told attendees that if employees believe they are suffering from a lack of a balance in their work and home lives, they need to look in the mirror and do something about it, reported the Wall Street Journal’s blog The Juggle. “Forget blaming your boss for bombarding you with ‘urgent’ e-mails after-hours and your co-workers for pestering you in your cubicle so that you never seem to get anything done during the workday,” wrote Rachel Emma Silverman. “It’s up to you to set limits and expectations – not responding to every message after you leave the office; leaving work at 5:30 p.m. if you’re done, even if your colleagues choose to stay until 7 for appearance’s sake.” (April 2011)
