When Dad Plays with Kids, Sign of Good Parental Relationship.

A study in the journal Developmental Psychology found that if fathers often play with their young children, both the fathers and the mothers with whom they parent “tend to be more supportive of each other’s parenting styles,” reported HealthDay News.

“The study found that couples had a stronger, more supportive co-parenting relationship when the father spent more time playing with their child,” HealthDay said. “However, couples tended to display less supportive and more undermining co-parenting behavior if the father participated more in caregiving.” (February 2011)
