New Mom/Comedian Balances the Punchline and the Baby

The Boston Globe recently featured a rookie comic and screenwriter who, in November, auditioned for a spot on Nickelodeon's "Funniest Mom in America 3" contest when she was eight months pregnant. She learned she'd advanced to the next level of the contest while still in the hospital after having given birth to her daughter, the paper reported. "Right now, I'm kind of living my ideal," Andrea Henry told the Globe. Husband David says he cares for their daughter while his wife works in comedy clubs. "I just assumed that all husbands changed diapers and aren't afraid," he said. (April 2007)
