We would like to introduce you to Laura Zeck.  Not only is Laura an extremely talented artist and entrepreneur, but she is also a struggling working mom like the rest of us.  She is totally candid about her experiences getting used to the craziness of life as a working mom.

How many hours a week do you work?
I don't know anymore. It seems like I am always working, although having Grace seems to have made me more efficient.

Where do you work?
I work from home - my studio is here - I love being able to walk downstairs and start working. My husband also has his studio here -- so sometimes it feels like we are always working.

What are the best and worst parts of your job?
Best parts are getting to make things that people love and then they actually send me notes telling me -- that makes me so happy. Worst parts are running out of shipping supplies, trying to remember where I put the tape gun and cleaning up all the shipping peanuts.

Of your female friends with children, what percentage work outside the home?
About 98%

What is your childcare set up?
We have a nanny come to the house 3 to 5 hours a day.

What is the one thing you vowed you would never do when you had kids that you find yourself doing?
Talking about poop.

Do you have a date night with your husband? How do you find time to keep the romance going when you are juggling so much?
No - but we need to start doing that. Romance? Hmm.

Forgive us for asking, but how often do you have sex?
Sex? Sometimes I dream about it - does that count?

What do you do when you feel totally overwhelmed?
Chop vegtables while drinkiing Chardonnay.

What are the three adjectives that best describe you?
My husband says Crazy, Crazy, Crazy.

What would you do if you had more time?
Learn how to make resin castings, finish remodeling our house, write some short stories, take a vacation, have a party, organize my studio and nap everyday.
