Imperfect Working Motherhood

Former "Early Show" anchor, mom of two and author of "Good Enough Mother: The Perfectly Imperfect Book of Parenting" Rene Syler, spoke with the Houston Chronicle about letting go of the notion of perfect parenting and embracing messy reality. When asked what things make her say, "I don’t care," Syler said: "Usually, ‘I don’t care’ comes about when I am racing into school for some reason and there will be some of the dreaded supermoms boring a hole in the back of my head because I’m late. That is when I suit up with my ‘I don’t care’ armor." (April 2007)
