Gestating in the Halls of Congress

A Washington congresswoman is set to be the fifth federal lawmaker to give birth while in office, according to press reports. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, who is due to deliver her first child in late May, found out she was pregnant while running for re-election last summer. "Being pregnant and being in Congress is like being pregnant and working any other job, it’s just a more public pregnancy," former New York congresswoman Susan Molinari, who gave birth to her daughter while in office told the Associated Press.
