Survey: Parents with Means Making Their Kids Pitch in for College.

A new survey found that “about half of Americans with assets of more than $250,000 said they won’t pay the entire tab for their children’s education,” Bloomberg News reported. One of the survey’s authors told Bloomberg that, “What the numbers show is just the rising cost of college and the financial demands on middle class and affluent families.” Twenty-nine percent of those surveyed told pollsters that by “limiting access to the bank of Mom and Dad” they’ll be teaching “their kids financial responsibility, Bloomberg said.
