Babies At Work, Some Applaud, Some Resent

ABC News recently shone the spotlight on a
Texas advertising company’s policy of allowing employees to bring their babies to work with them until the children are 8 months old or become mobile. Pamela Crosier, mom of a 6-month-old, told ABC that the open door policy enabled her to come to back to work even though she hadn’t been able to find childcare arrangements immediately. However “Good Morning America” contributor and Women for Hire CEO Tory Johnson said that bringing a child to work may stir up frustration among co-workers. “There’s often resentment that builds among people who have either older children, or who don’t have children, who feel as though those parents are being coddled,” Johnson said.
